Arby’s Sauce ~Lunchbag Week 26

I do love a good roast beef sandwich! And even though this is just plain honey wheat bread off the shelf and plain sliced roast beef from a plastic tub it makes a delicious sandwich because of the ‘clone recipe’ Arby’s Sauce. Here’s how to make it:
1 cup ketchup
2 tsp water
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp Tabasco
Mix all ingredients in small saucepan and cook over medium heat STIRRING CONSTANTLY (really – don’t go check your email), until the sauce begins to boil (8-10 minutes). Remove from heat, cover, and let stand until cool. Store in clean, covered jar in fridge for up to one month.

  2. Angie, I'm getting ready to make this now. How wonderful! This would be fabulous on a grilled chicken sandwich, steak sandwich or burger. I bet this would be good on a bologna sandwich.

    Oh! I know, brushed on country ribs after they have slow roasted. I better double the recipe. Thanks.
