Today BeSkiBiMo Begins!

Alright!  Have you weighed yourself and set your goal for the month?  Then let’s get to it.  I’m planning on relying a lot on my iPhone this month.  I’ve downloaded Eight Glasses a Day to make sure I stay well hydrated, Calorie Count to track every bite of food I put in my mouth as well as the exercise I get, and C25K (couch to 5K) just in case I am able to do some running.  I think I may try a light jog with my neck brace on – if I wrap a scarf around it no one will be the wiser, right?  I’m also going to be doing Zumba every single day (starting with the 20 minute beginner’s class, of course).

What’s your plan?  Weight Watcher’s?  South Beach?  Spin class?  Hot yoga?

  1. This is part of your support team. A small glass of grapefruit juice before each meal will help with weight loss. This is what we were told at a fat farm in West Palm Beach several years ago. Rose Hip Tea is also very good. Eight glasses of liquid does not have to be all water. Coffee and tea also count, no sugar or cream of course. No diet sodas. Don’t forget your vitamins! Yes you can have bread. Come back tomorrow and see what kind.

  2. I am in. I want to lose 10 lbs. I will just be eating less since I have gotten into the habit of snacking every night or having dessert.

    Also I will be doing the exercise I like to call The Holiday Boogie. ie: I run around all day doing things for Chrsitmas.

    My tip is to drink a big glass of water before meals and every time you want to eat. It will fill you up. Also for sweets, take 1 M&M. It is actually satisfying.

    1. Dang! If you can eat just one M&M rather than strapping the whole bag to your face like a horse’s feedbag, well, you’re a stronger woman than I am!

  3. Yes,, bread! Well Bagel Chips. Not the kind already made with the oil. Low fat frozen or better the kind from the bakery. Take your trusty mandoline and slice them very , very thin, spread on a cookie sheet and bake until crispy,No oil. Season with garlic powder or your favorite dry herbs. The fat farm allowed these and Rose Hip Tea for snacks or with soup and salad. There were baskets of them every place. I’m sure Angie will be posting a fabulous low- cal soup for the week end. Keep up the good work guys!
