Seven Little Things That Make Me Happy

1.) Iced coffee

(Pioneer Woman’s is the best)

2.) Snuggling with dogs

3.) Eating with my family

(no picture of this since it happens so seldom)

4.) Nail Polish with funny names

Aphrodite's Pink Nightie, Coney Island Cotton Candy, and Your Villa or Mine

5.) Watching the sun come up

(OK, I don’t really watch it come up, I just watch out the window by my desk as the sky gets lighter, the chipmunks start running around, and the joggers come out for the day.)

6.) Reading books to little kids

(especially Dianna’s little ones, and especially anything involving llamas)

7.) Old quilts

I’m linking this up to Seven Quick Takes Friday at Conversion Diary.

    1. You must remedy this immediately! Go to a yard sale or a thrift store, or just find one on eBay with cheap shipping. New doesn’t count. There need to be little tears in the patchwork for your fingers and toes to sneak into. And if you’re especially sad or stressed or tired take a nap with the patterned part DOWN (toward you) so you’ll absorb happiness, serenity, and energy from the colors.

This was the sweetest quilt owning philosophy I’ve ever encountered. Must share with BFF.

  1. You are so right about the iced coffee. Also about the old quilts. There is something about old quilts that make me feel like a little girl again. You can never have too many and they never get shabby just a little used.

  2. Well …. you may change your mind on the reading, girl. Their choices are getting longer and longer. This Magic Tree House kick Rachel is on is making me lose my voice — books with 75 pages, every day!!

    Love you!
