Happy Wednesday!

Yes, I know it’s Thursday, but I’m linking up to A Week in My Life at Adventurooand I’m talking about my Wednesday. John went back to school after Fall Break, completed Egypt project in hand.  I slept in a bit since it hadn’t been a good night pain-wise.  I tidied up around the house a bit, caught up on some blogwork, and wasted a little time on Pinterest.

Then the excitement started.  My friend Lisa took me to lunch and then gave me a flu shot.  Only a true friend will provide that sort of combination of care.  Yes, I know I look like I’m having way too much fun to be getting a flu shot, but it’s impossible notto have fun when Lisa’s around.  Things actually got a lot funnier just a few seconds after this picture was taken, but I promised Lisa I wouldn’t disclose the details.  Let’s just say I giggled all afternoon about my flu shot, and I can’t say I’ve ever done that before 🙂

Yes, I AM wearing the new necklace I made Monday!

I’d forgotten to take pain pills with me (after all this time wouldn’t you think I’d be able to remember that?) and so when I got home it was time for a pill and a little snuggle break with the dogs.

The high point of the day was about 6:30, though, when this happened:

Yep, Aaron’s home for his Fall Break.  I’ll be pampering him for a couple of days – doing his laundry, fixing his favorite foods.  His birthday is Monday, so we’ll celebrate over the weekend before he has to go back to school.  I will be celebrating his birthday Monday here on the blog, though, and it will involve presents for you.  Intrigued?  Make sure you drop by and see what’s up!

Priced at just $4.99, it is now available in every format your little heart could desire at Smashwords, or, if you prefer, it’s also for sale in a Kindle version on Amazon!!

  1. Love the fact that you’re actually laughing while getting a shot. I used to be a wuss about needles… but after going through a wicked hard labor almost 7 years ago, they are a walk in the park. I’m curious about the flu-shot joke… but I’m also familiar with the sacred level of inside jokes between friends!

  2. Your blogging nook is cute. I will not be so happy when I get my flu shot. I am so scared of needles. I love that necklace you made the other day!!
