There are so many cute wine cork crafts on Pinterest, but this one really caught my eye. It was described as an ornament, but it could also be a necklace, a gift topper, a party favor, or . . . a pull for a ceiling fan.

I used a cork from my favorite local winery, Oliver Winery. They have a wonderful soft red, and their sangria is to die for. The charm is a fleur-de-lis, and the brown buttons and turquoise bead are from my craft stash. I used black hemp for the cord.
Next time I’ll use a larger charm, and probably silk cord instead of the hemp – it was a little hard to work with. And maybe I’ll open my wine with this uber-cool electric wine opener. Is it just me, or does this look like the one everyone was using on Real Housewives of Orange County this past season?

Priced at just $4.99, it is now available in every format your little heart could desire at Smashwords, or, if you prefer, it’s also for sale in a Kindle version at Amazon or a Nook version at Barnes and Noble!

This would be a very cute key chain too.
ANOTHER good use! That’s it, I’m going to have to drink more wine!
haahaa! I couldn’t get but laugh at that one because I was thinking the same thing! But…probably better wine than the super cheap stuff I’ve been drinking so that I have a more impressive ornament
If I find a pin on Pinterest for creative things to do with empty boxes of wine you can bet I’ll be posting it – it’s “budget wine” time around here, too
Oh LOVE this, thinking it’s a great gift for my bff
Even better if you use a cork from a bottle of wine you’ve shared!
Cute idea! I love the corks from wine bottles-nice job!
Wonderful idea, the corks you can get at craft store stamp anything on them. Big hug for another great craft.
LOVE this idea! I hadn’t seen that one yet … headed to Pinterest now to find and pin it!
Can’t wait to read more of your posts and check out your Pinterest boards, too. Thanks for sharing!
Hi! Thanks for sourcing me! That looks great! I hope you had an easy time making it. Besides all of the ones I made last year for Christmas ornaments, I also made one for myself with a a crystal. I hang it from my rear view mirror and it is super cute!
All the ones I saw on your site were SO cute – I especially liked the “cupcake” charm on the “cupcake” cork
Looks great Angie! Thanks for sourcing me. Responsible blogging is always appreciated. I’m glad people are out there making these. I hang mine from my rear view mirror!
Oops sorry, I see I already thanked you previously. Double thanks!!
