A Fresh Start for 2012

Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. ~ Psalms 68:19

It’s New Year’s Day, and, being the OCD, Type-A, anal retentive person I am I have saved on my computer a list of twenty-seven goals for 2012, divided into seven categories.  That’s just how I am and I couldn’t help myself.  But I truly am going to make a sincere effort to worry less, to take every day as it comes, because God really is bearing my burdens – all of our burdens – and there are more productive things to do than worry.  Like pray :)

I know it’s not productive to worry, but it seems I have to learn that lesson over and over again. If I’d just pray first!

Reminds me of when Jesus tells us not to worry and points out that God always provides for the birds, flowers, etc and we are more important to Him.
