I’m the only female in my household. For years, all the personal care items were my selections, and the guys just used what was there. But this article on the P&Geveryday website, titled Helping Him Look and Feel His Best, got me thinking. It included eight quick tips for men: everything from hydration reducing needed shaving force (and therefore nicks on my teen’s face) to using shower gel instead of bar soap to tackle dirt, grit, and sweat (very timely since temps are climbing) and selecting a shampoo that removes buildup to help out thinning hair. My husband, at age fifty-one, worries about his hair thinning, but I think it still looks great! Best of all, the article stressed the importance of nail care for men. My husband and both my sons will tell you I nag them constantly about their cuticles. I think they’re all just whiners who are afraid of cuticle nippers. In fact, when I asked Michael and John to pause the movie they were watching and let me take pictures of their hands they both asked, “Does this have something to do with our cuticles?”
After I read about selecting razors with multiple blades, moisturizing shaving creams, and shampoos that work as well for the guys as they do for me I started feeling guilty. So I searched the house, afraid that I’d find only poor choices. I shop frugally, and I buy what’s on sale and/or what I have coupons for. Surprisingly, I quickly found I’d made some pretty good decisions even before reading the article!
I can’t take full credit, though, because P&G consistently offers excellent coupons. The P&Geveryday website is a great resource for those, as well. Every coupon I saw was at least $1 off, and those add up quickly for a frugal shopper! It was nice to find a new site for coupons on products (beauty, family, food, health, home and more) I already buy on a regular basis. No one wants to spend all their time coupon-hunting, so having them all combined on one site saves time in my already busy life
As I browsed around I also found recipes, DIY ideas, product reviews and ratings (essential if I’m trying something new) and even a place to sign up to receive free samples. It’s exactly the thorough, user-friendly site you’d expect from such a trusted company.
