Anyone who’s ever travelled through downtown Louisville will remember one thing most of all: the bat. The six-story bat that stands outside the Louisville Slugger Museum on West Main Street has become an iconic Louisville symbol. And on Wednesday, September 17th baseball fans visiting the museum were in for an extra treat! Chris Buescher made a pit stop there in his #60 Ford Mustang as part of the Walgreens Race Around America, where fans vote to select the route taken and upgrades to the Mustang along the way!
He toured the museum (which is fascinating even if you’re not a baseball fan!), took a turn in the batting cages, and even paid the admission fees for the first 250 visitors! Then he moved on to the Kentucky Speedway for Saturday’s race. Evidently the track was pretty bumpy, but Chris kindly said the track had “character” 😉 He’s now seventh in Nationwide Series standings.
The new Balance Financial Prepaid MasterCard from Walgreens is prominently featured on the car, and lets card-carriers earn Balance Rewards Points while also making check cashing more convenient. It’s accepted anywhere Mastercard Debit cards are accepted, and is an easy, safe option for when you are travelling, sending kids on a school trip, or just forcing yourself to stay within your budget! It’s also a great way to pay a frequently-used baby sitter or make funds available to an older family member’s caretaker.
Here’s the coverage from USA Today about the event – check back soon to see a video Chris shot while he was in town!
And don’t forget to check out the Race Around America website! Oh, yeah – you can win one of four trips to Miami and maybe even the ROUSH Mustang itself! (Must now go wipe my teenage son’s drool off the keyboard) *sigh*
To enter the giveaway for a chance to win a $25 Walgreens gift card and Roush Racing Merchandise just comment below with where you would take this flashy Mustang if you won it . . . and who you would take along! Entries close Tuesday, October 7th at 11:59 p.m. EST. Good luck!
