I’m overwhelmed and exhausted and although I’m doing several things at once all day long I never seem to get anything accomplished. Tomorrow is November first and I’d REALLY like to participate in NaNoWriMo, which means I’d be writing an entire novel (about 50,000 words) in one month. Just a straight-through first draft, but still, that’s a HUGE goal. So I’m going to take a page out of FlyLady‘s book and put my timer to use. Each day I will clean for 15 minutes and exercise for 15 minutes (OK, Zumba basic is 20 minutes, but close enough). I will cook simple meals and always cook two days’ worth at a time. No TV, no reading novels, and I can only chat on the phone while I’m cleaning or cooking – Dianna and I have turned this into an art form. 15 minutes on Twitter – that’s all I get unless I have finished my NaNoWriMo goal for the day. That last one may kill me. I’m going to keep up with bloggy things I’m already committed to, namely 31 Days to Build a Better Blog with AP Freewriting 101 and the SITS tribe activities (Yay, Snow Leopards!), but I’m not adding anything else until December first (if I’m still alive). In case anyone is interested, yes, it’s the “It Happened at Pippi’s” stuff I’m turning into a novel. Beware, people who have commented favorably have ended up being written into the book 😉
Suggestions? Cautions? Words of wisdom? Let me have it!
