Hebrews 6:7 ~ Saints and Scripture Sunday

For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God.

We’re about to float away, but I have to say I’m enjoying the rain today. I could have done without it yesterday, since I had my yard more ready for a Derby party than I did my house, but my true friends don’t really care about a bit of dust and dog fur. I slept late this morning lulled by the sound of the rain, and I’m going to do all the “inside chores” I’ve been putting off while it’s been so beautiful outside. Everything outside looks so lush and green, and the air smells so clean. Sometimes a rainy day is a true blessing, although the bird that built this nest in my butterfly bush would probably disagree.

Her home was completely hidden until the weight of all the rain caused the branches to droop almost low enough for my dog to reach her nest. I guess Sam will have to have supervised potty breaks until the weather changes.

  1. Sam deserves extra treats for not bothering the birds nest. She is so sweet she wouldn't hurt anything.

Rain, rain go away come again another day. I'm literally about to float away. Goose Creek is on the rise.
