Homemade Exfoliating Scrub and Lotion Bar – Pinterest Successes!

This is one of my favorite frugal beauty tips – right up there with the sugar scrub I keep in my shower.  I’ve had a couple of expensive facials when I’ve received spa gift certificates, but I always ended up with red, irritated skin.  This baking soda tip is fabulous – my skin ended up soft and glowing.

The price of the beeswax almost kept me from trying this one, but instead I bought a cheap bag of plain wax – and it turned out great!  I knew I had Crisco at home for vegetable shortening, but I’d forgotten it was butter flavored.  The dogs followed me around all evening trying to lick my legs.  My skin feels wonderful, though, and I haven’t reacted to this lotion the way I usually do to fancy perfumed lotions.

    1. That is so awesome, thank you!! I’m in the midst of trying out another Pinterest find this week for strengthening your nails. I’ll link that up next week if it goes well and my fingers don’t fall off 😉
