Yes, I know this is the same scripture I used last week, but it’s really working for me, ‘kay? This week my patience finally paid off, and thanks to the advice and support of my wonderful friends and family I am FINALLY on the right track to getting relief from the neck pain I’ve been battling since January 2009. Lessons learned this week? 1.) If something feels wrong to you, it’s wrong. Trust your intuition and get out of that situation. I ended up in the office of a major quack this week, and before I knew it I was being referred to an even bigger quack for a procedure I probably don’t need. 2.) Your friends are your most valuable asset – don’t be afraid to ask them for help. Once I could stop crying long enough to hold a conversation I talked to my friend Dianna, who “talked me down out of my tree”, and then called my friend Laurie, who pulled some serious strings to get me in immediately to see the wonderful physician who has now turned the course of my treatment around. And all through this I was getting texts and emails from my friends Kim, Lisa, and Beverly, and I know the prayers they were saying for me helped me be assertive at a time when I wasn’t even clear-headed enough to string words into a sentence. Stop by and visit Dianna at The Kennedy Adventures every Sunday for Saints and Scripture.
