“Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.”
~Elizabeth Stone
Today’s the big day. I know he’s 18 years old and six feet tall, but when I look at him this is what I see:

Dont' be sad, be proud of the wonderful young man you and Michael have raised.
Think how much fun you're going to have when he starts dragging all his buddies home for the week end. And the football games, tailgating, etc. I can hardly wait.
What a big day for you both! Hang in there, mom! He'll be back for some home cooking before you know it!
I can relate. The ladies that posted before me are right, there are so many rewards that you will be reaping before long. It is scary at first, lonely, but it's also fun. I love driving up to school and watching his plays and watch him run.
And you know what? When he needs his mommy, you'll appreciate it alot more.
Awww…so cute.
I know how you feel…I cried pulling into the school parking lot when my son graduated in June.
Surprisingly, I DID NOT cry during the ceremony-yea for me 🙂
Sending you a hug!
That's so sweet! My mom still has dreams of my sister and I as little girls. For some reason, she says we never are adults in her dreams. Now that I have 2 little girls of my own, I know that quote is so right… having a child is like having your heart walking around outside your body.
Aww! My eldest starts Jr. High in 2 days *sniff*
I know exactly what you mean :(.
