SITS, Aaron, miners, and work ~ Feel Good Friday

I am feeling REALLY FABULOUS this Friday for a multitude of reasons.

1.) Tuesday was my SITS Day.  I was the SITS Featured Blogger and it was AMAZING!  I got a mind-boggling number of comments from wonderful people who visited my blog.  Several hundred people said nice things about me and my blog – all on one day.  Really, what could be more fun than reading those comments all day long?  I’m still working on replying to all the comments on my blog and on the SITS blog, visiting blogs of people who visited me, etc.  It’s going to take me a while, but I’m having a great time!  BIG thank you to everyone who visited!!

2.) Aaron is home from college for a couple of days for Fall Break, and I just LOVE having him around 🙂  We’ll be celebrating his nineteenth birthday this weekend!

3.) All the miners made it out of the mine in Chile.  I stayed up to watch the coverage until the last miner made it to the surface, and it was inspiring.  A perfect example of what happens when people work together for the good of others without a personal or political agenda.

4.) It’s FRIDAY, and this has been a really crappy week at work.  Just one more day to make it through.  I don’t mean to wish my life away, but I’ll be so glad to put this week behind me work-wise.

  1. Now that I work outside the home, I long for weekends! Especially if I know that Husband will be cooking breakfast and I will sleep in (till 7am?)

My past few weeks have been doused with illnesses and worry. And now seeing as that is behind me, I’m happy to sip my Starbucks and peruse the blogs! Have a happy weekend!

Oh and quick question, is your Comment Luv free? When you get a chance could you email me or leave a comment on my blog?

    1. I’m so glad things are turning around for you – that’s a good feeling 🙂 Yes, my CommentLuv plugin is the free version (2.81.2) – seems to work well, but I haven’t been on WordPress long anough get to fiddle with my plugins much.

  2. Wonderful post! Our prayers are still with the miners and their families.

You are so right when you say “Anything worth doing can be done in jammies”. I have baked a cake, taken a two mile walk with the puppies, giving both puppies a bath and I’m still in my jammies and it’s not even noon. I may only get dressed for church.

  3. totally agree with you on the miners – Chile is a great example to the world: team work, solidarity, hope and (in a good way) marketing – who doesn’t know the brand “Chile” around the world by now? good things happen to those who do the right thing. Have a great weekend!

    1. I hadn’t thought about it in terms of marketing, but you’re so right. It’s a perfect example (to put it in bloggy terms) of why bloggers should be authentic and sincere in terms of branding themselves. If we all focus on being true to ourselves and supporting others we will be respected for that!

  4. YAY for SITS Day and college break! Even though we are adults, my mom is always happiest when she’s got “all her chicks in the nest.” Like last night for The Boy’s birthday… it was my nest, but still, she had everyone is the same room!

  5. Glad you had a good Friday after a long week. I had a long week too, hence it being Saturday and I am just getting around to looking at all the SITS bloggers of the week. Enjoy having your son home from college for break… I remember the days of being home for fall break and loving every second of it!

  6. Just discovered your blog and thought I would post a comment as it is apt that I am still in my PJs! I agree Friday was a wonderful day, for once it felt as i the world was united by a story of hope and joy for once rather that tragedy and what an inspiring thing that was! I too watched much of the coverage alot it meant for quite a tired day at work!

  7. I still think it is so cool that you got your SITS day! I would be glued to my computer all day.

Emily started break this weekend too and I am SO happy to have her here. I hope you have a better work week this week.

    1. It was absolutely killing me that I couldn’t get out of work that day and sit at the computer all day long – I’ve never been so distracted at work in my life!
