“I just don’t think they need to do these tests so often. It’s all a scam to put more money in the doctor’s pocket.” Adam grabbed a set of keys off a hook near the pantry and tossed them to Anna.
She caught them in one hand, grinned at the Jaguar key fob, and bounced on her toes. “Let’s go. Don’t want you to be late.”
The drive to the doctor’s office was disappointingly short. Anna would have loved to see what the car would do on a long, straight stretch. It was British Racing Green and the interior smelled of money and power. Running errands in this car? Hell, she should be paying Adam, she thought with a smirk as she pulled neatly into a parking space close to the door. She gave the woodgrain dash a discreet caress as she opened the door.
